A battle is brewing between a craft beermaker and a New York City business over the name Dogfish. Delaware-based Dogfish Head Brewery, which has been around since 1995, said Dogfish Accelerator, which finances films and media rockstars, came to the brewer in 2013 asking for sponsorship, a Brooklyn federal court lawsuit states. Dogfish Head Brewery is among the most revered brewers of craft beer in the United States but could face consumer confusion, it claims in its suit filed against Dogfish Accelerator last week.
